This album is a split between Loeco and Beholding: the result of an incredibly lengthy email correspondence and a mutual love for the expansiveness of ambient music. It is a short album meant to signify the beauty of transition and the joyous uncertainty of the future as it unfolds in numerous, unexpected directions.

side 1: Loeco

"Clarkdale" was composed as an ode to the house in which my wife and daughter and I lived for a year, during a period marked by several significant changes. It was a difficult but joyous time that has already ended and deserves expressive reflection. A song seemed the best way to do just that.

side 2: Beholding

named for the two crows i see every day on my early morning bike commute to work, this song is meant as a kind of document of changing times and losing things that i grew to be comfortable with... or an "ode to a transitional period" as Evan put it in one of our emails back and forth. so as a result of all these changes, sometimes i felt unsteady and had lots of questions about a ton of things.. we should look at Two Crows as those questions, and maybe we'll get some answers out of it! huge thanks to Evan for his wonderful, thoughtful and beautiful work on his side of this split.
